Growing a chilli that’s red hot ! / myLot

So, yesturday , when we were shopping there was a bag of chillies that had a hole in it and a couple of chillies had fallen out. I was very cheeky and I liberated the chillies …. I plan to remove the seeds and plant them. This way I can grow my own chillies. This will take a while, however, when grown I can dry them and use in sauces etc …. Have you grow chillies ? Should I expect a bumper crop ?

Liberating those fallen chillies is such a good move... i hope they sprout for you. Never grown any myself but a bumper crop would be so nice imo.

I don’t know that I would ever think of growing chilis, of all things, but they sound like a reasonable choice of produce to attempt. I look forward to hearing about how it goes!

I’ve been watching a local lady on fb ….she cooks, dehydrates, makes powders, batch cooks, cans, freezes, and grows her own fruit and veggies ….i have had so many top tips from her. She grows chillies and I was impressed with how many she gets on each plant. I have done several recipes recently with dried chilli flakes, so I thought I would try and grow some.
