I really do know better but I’m constantly putting myself out there. I volunteer to help people and do things. My neighborhood needed a new newsletter template and I am really good at that, so I volunteered to create one. But they criticized it.

they criticized something you offered for free... thats the part that stings imo. I'd be bummed too but the template was a kind thing to do.
