Boy how the times have changed. Now you can't even talk about your faith in God or Jesus in the schools. The worst thing kids used to get in trouble for was talking, or chewing gum in class. Now...you have to worry about drugs and guns in school! I guess that's why every generation wants to remember the "good old days".

Well, i don't really see any good think about praying in school? People have different religions, so i think they have to keep their religion at home, and "forget" about it when they are in school! The school should not tell them whats right to believe in, they should find out them self, if they believe in religion! The school should only learn them about ALL religions, and then they can see what they think!

I feel that religion teaches us moral values and what is right and wrong. You're right...I don't think school should tell you what you can and can't believe in. I'm just sad to see that nowadays they tend to teach that anything is okay..."I may not believe that, but you can believe that if you want" and the truths that make up right and wrong get distorted or are hard to see.

School Prayers - Pray at School
I too remember when we used to start the school day with a Prayer. When our son went to school they too started the day with a Prayer, but he was going to a Church School. Lots of things we were taught when I was at school are no longer considered important and that includes compulsory sport. Today it isn't part of the curriculum, so it is no wonder that we have a generation of obese children. Like you estherlou generally we were in trouble for talking in class or not having a complete uniform etc. Friends' children go to a Church school here in Australia and the school, and Church, accepts that not every student is of that faith, so they teach them a subject called "Social Respondibility", and that includes about morals, principles, ethics, being kind to others etc.
