Although not nearly as common as ears, more and more of us have decided to take the plunge and get a body part pierced. But most of the pain comes after the act.

My tongue isn't pierced, and never will be. But i've had friends who've done it. This one guy did it on my birthday and we all went out to eat that night...Let me tell you,he was funny with his bottle of Scope to rinse his mouth after the meal! If I remember correctly, he tried to eat pasta, but with no success.

After you get your tongue pierced, you should try to stay away from spicy foods for a while. I have friends that tell me that the spices really hurt around the pierced area.

How about soup or ice cream. Be sure to drink lots of fluids cause with your tongue being sore I doubt you'll be eatting much.
