Mylot should add an IGNORE feature! What do you all think? Do you agree? I think this would be nice. It would reduce our stress over these people who want to abuse mylot and post non-sense!

Its a great idea. There are a lot of those here who give one word answers. Not only that there are those who start even meaningless discussions. Mylot is a disucssion board first and foremost and its sad that many take it as means of making moey with less emphasis on quality

I don't think it's a bad idea. There are some people that you just don't need or want thier opinion. But then this community would get a lot smaller because I've seen the posts. People do not learn thier lesson. Thank goodness there is at least a rating system.

Instead of an ignore feature, I think there should be a setting/option to "hide" posts from people who you rate negative to a certain threshold...

Possibly, but . . . I'm the type of person that wants to know when the system is being abused, so that I can report it. If I were to simply ignore it, which would be very tempting in some cases, that would be defeating the purpose. If enough abusers get away with their abuse, myLot won't survive. I've seen other sites (themestream.com, anyone?) get snuffed out for similar reasons. I'm with you, though, an ignore feature would have its use, to be sure. Let's say there's someone who keeps bothering you, but is not necessarily abusing the system, so to speak, they just have it in for you and are trying to get under your skin. That's when ignore would be invaluable.

I totally agree it would clean up the boards tremendously. It would give new discussions of better content to at least get responded to.
