I have lived with my boyfriend for 2 years- should he have popped the question? I do all the wifely chores and I call him my husband because based on "common law" he is but how long is too long to just be boyfriend and girlfriend? "why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free"

well maybe he should have, but do not pressure him, maybe he is just not ready, and if u love him, u should understand, i mean, thats what guys r afraid of most, their gf pressuring them into marriage, maybe u should wait, he will come around!!!

I know he isnt scared of commitment because for a while we were trying to have a baby but he knows very well that I want to get married!

hmm..maybe you should ask him directly (if there's good communication between both of you) about what lies ahead. if not, then probably it's good that you just drop a little hint here and there. Good Luck!
