i just cant help myself but to ask this, "why lame and nonsense discussions have so many responses"? after roaming mylot for 2 hours i still see some moronic questions that got alot of responses. for instance, theres this topic "how old is your computer".. and guess what it has 300+ responses! whats that supposed to mean? and theres this another one "language what is yours?" and my God it has 500+ responses! why why why? am i the only one seeing this?

This is inevitable. The silly discussions always end up getting more responses... I do not know why or how. I generally spend 3-4 hours on my LOt... If I had to search for a good discussion I can spot only one or 2 good discussions and it takes me about 2 hours just to find them. and since the discussions get flooded, I have to sit again and search for them again, taking me another 30 mins. With the available time I can come with jus 2-3 good replies to good discussions. I do not know how to get more good discussions...

I hear you loud and clear. If you are looking for good topics to respond to....do like I just did....Look for those with 0 responses. That achieves two things....better selection and your at least in the top five of the responders and later you don't have to weed through zillions of comments/responses to find yours. I find it much easier and less time consuming.

there's a simple answer to that, most of the people in mylot are not looking for discussions that can challenge their minds, instead, they tend to respond on discussions with "low class" topics as it's easier for them to answer without the waste of time. Answering good topics may take a few minutes of thinking, which for them may be a waste of time and of course, money

because most people are nonesense and they look for questions that can be answered in just a word or two. they find it easier to earn more points. in short... easy money! funny why people are really interested in answering such things.

it is because these topics has reached the most of mylot member's hearts, my dear... try to make a question that is common to all, like do you eat chocolate... well that answer is simply "yes" and most of us do eat chocolate... so probably it could have lots of responses then. but if you post some more technical & deep questions like "How to make HTML?" & "what is leonardo di vinci's favorite past time?" you may have a few responses although they're informative, because not more of mylot's member can write html, like me, and if someone responded with comprehensive step-by-step how-to-do-this post, other members may not find it interesting to post same idea; and only few of us like to read history and write long responses, right? i hope my response gave you some sort of an answer to your question! =:)

most users here want to respond to as many discussions as possible in much less time . they have little time to think and respond to good quality discussions . Quantity vs Quality . hopefully it will change gradually if they donot earn much with more number of posts ...

i think most people prefer to reply to discussions which doesn't require much though and can be written in some words. there are less of such questions after the new algorithm i guess.

Well, don't mind them. Just answer posts that you really like or really appreciate answering. It's really frustrating though, but what can we do if that's what they want. I've posted some silly questions when I started with mylot, but as I go along I post more relevant and more timely questions. If it gets some answers then it's good but if not then why worry. Inteligent questions gets inteligent replies and of course stupid questions will get stupid replies and then it goes on ......

I've just been doing this for a day and I totally agree. I'm getting absolutely no responses to topics that I thought would blow the roof with responses. And then, my not so interesting topics, have a ton of responses. Is this just laziness?

Don't worry, you're not the only one seeing this lol. The sad thing is that it is these types of questions that people like, because they are easy to answer and they don't take much thought. A lot of people don't care about quality on here, they are just thinking about the money and moving onto the next question. The good news though, is that mylot has recently announced that they will be paying more for quality discussions, so hopefully this cuts down on the silly ones.

i fully agree with you but almost all the mylot user's want to respond more discussions and so they try to look for the most simple ones with only one or two lines of response. This is a very bad habit, i also posted a discussion on this topic which ended with 0 response to this date.
