Should we really be here?

Im currently enlisted in the United States Army, and our unit is deployed in Iraq. The key of discussion here is why were here,
which really is my question. Weve had several casualties, and it seems to be getting more dangerous here, the thing is all were doing is acting as a security or police force. Why cant there forces take over, so america can get out of this country?

I cannot answer your questions, but I can give all of you praise!!! I was in Saudi during the first Gulf War, and my nephew just got home from Iraq. There will always be questions, but when we took that oath, we swear to obey our orders....even though we may not agree with them. I wish you the best and pray for your safe return!!!!
