Muslim and christian believe in the same God. The only big difference here is muslim dont believe that Jesus(pbuh) is son of God. In egypt and in Lebanon christian say Allah not God. Even Qoran Confirms this in chapter 29 verse 46: We believe in the Revelation that has come down to us and in that which came down to you. Our God and your God is one; and it is unto Him that we (all) surrender ourselves.”

First I would like to clarify the question since within those professing to be christians there are many disagreements such as, is there only one true God or there is (are)a trinity. Muslims believed in a monotheistic God similar to some fundamental christiansbut differs with most christian believers. After clarifying this point then we have to standardize our reference point whether Bible and Koran for in these our reference for our beliefs. Disregarding anyone of them will be meaningless to these discussion threads. While this discussions is very interesting , these concerns must be clarified.

The Noble Qoran Chapter 112 Verses 1--4. 1.)Qul Ho Wallaho Ahad Say (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)): "He is Allâh, (the) One. 2.)Allah Us-samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks). 3.)Lam Ya Lid, Walam U Lad He begets not, nor was He begotten; 4.)Walam Ya Qul Lahoo Kofo Wan Ahad And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him. God is free from all worldly relation. He is only the one.

@dreadstar. well, why do you need an intermediator between god and man?.u can directly plea to your god for your sins.we muslims plea to our god directly. we didnt need any intermediators. we didnt plead god through Prophet Muhammed. a man can live a good life only if he is close to his god by offering prayers. god is not very harmful person.if u obey him by offering prayers, then he is the only person who loves u most.

i am a muslim.it is true that both worship same god.the only difference in islam and christianism is ,in islam christ is not a son of god, he is also a prophet like moses, abraham,etc..we have been asked to follow bible like quran but now we didnt follow bible as there was many changes made by man in bible.and there is a lot of such misunderstanding between the two.in islam we say god as ALLAH and christian say god as A_______. i didnt know exact word.if we talk about this, it will goes on .

Thanks for ur reply. But u r asked to follow BIBLE as QURAN. Though BIBLE has many changes, the sacrifice and crucifiction of JESUS CHRIST as son of GOD, was not changed from the earlier times. So then u r to follow JESUS CHRIST if u r supposed to follow BIBLE.

""""The Bible is not "full of changes". God is way smarter than man and I believe He got the message across time without flaw. He's even smarter than the all powerful Catholic church. """ So why do you have old testament and New testament!! No doubt God is smart enough to handle all his affair. But he has left man on his will.

we have also been said that we have to follow Quran first, then the rest, also include holy book of jews.in Quran we had been said that jesus is not a son of God.also we had been said that Muhammed is the last prophet of God and we have to follow him. we had been said that jesus will once again come to this world and spread islam.there is a lot to discuss about it.

I know very little about anyone's religion. I am Christian, but I began at a young age to realize religion is not as important as actually believing in a ONE true GOD. So I keep religion out of my daily life and focus on faith and worship. Yes I believe everyone has the same one true God as their God. There is only one God and there is no way you can make him be anything else other than God. I know nothing about Catholic, Muslim, Jehovah Witness, etc. religions and if I did it would not matter, we are all striving for the same thing. Live a better life and get to a better place (Heaven).

Ofcourse u r right. But it is written in BIBLE that JESUS asked his desciples to go in to the world and spread christianity. To spread christianity we have to make other religion people to know about JESUS CHRIST and his sufferings. To this we have to know the other religion.

Though god is one, as believed by many people, I dont think Muslims and Christians worship the same god. There is a difference of nearly 1500 years between the two religions and the god cannot be the same for both of them. Secondly the ideology both of them follow is entirely different.

To answer the question, the answer is: Yes. In fact it is the same God the Muslims believe, the Christians believe (Father-God) and the Jews believe. This will need interpretation, but it will be very-very long. :D So how if they all believe in the same God, why the teachings are different? Two of the reasons are: 1. Human has abuse the holy word. The writings has been tainted with human hand. I won't mention which religion, because the answer will vary. Just enough to know, human has interfere. 2. It has been too long. Human is not perfect, human make mistakes, and sometimes keep repeating the same mistakes. So even if the holy teaching is perfect, handed down years by years by years, there will be changes happens.
