By 2000, everyone was suppose to know one person with Aids.

So, is this true? Do any of you know anyone with Aids today? Lost anyone yet?
I was told this back in the 90's after I lost my best friend to Aids. He was diagnosed in 1991 and passed in 2000. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to see in my life.

As far as I know I don't know anyone who has AIDS. Most of the people I know are in commited relationships and have been for quite a while though. I haven't had anyone I know die of AIDS.

That is really sad. I have never lost anyone to AIDS but I do know a couple who are dealing with it right now. They are both doing fairly well right now but have their ups and downs. I hope they find a way to cure this terrible disease soon.

This is not true for me. I don't know anyone that has AIDS. I am lucky that most of my family is pretty healthy. My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your friend!

sorry to hear about your friend... I have lived in england, germany and usa, but i never knew or met anyone with aids. I think the statistic is off, because countries like south afrika have around 18.8% hiv infected adults. And i think south africa has one of the lower rates of african countries
