Santa.... do you still encourage your kids to believe in him???

I love christmas coz you know what I still believe that Santa will visit me and give me my gift. I encourage my kids to believe in Santa because for me it's tradition.... together with christmas. And Christmas won't be the same without Santa Claus..

My kids are grown now, but when they were little I wanted them to believe in Santa as long as possible. As a teacher I've discovered that most children today have little or no imagination. Their toys and video games do everything for them, and they don't learn to think for themselves. I would advise parents to do everything they can to encourage imagination, including belief in Santa. After all, how many adults do you know who believe in Santa? We all find out the truth as we grow up, so what can it hurt?

i don't have kids...but i sure know that i really cryed when i found out that santa dosen't really exists,i was 5or s6 don't really remeber,but i was really sad

Why should we deny our children the happiness regardless of the source.After all aren't we living happily believing in life which is nothing but a fantasy?

Yes, that is also a good explanation. That when we give to others less fortunate than us, oftentimes it returns 10 times more.

Yes, i still encourage my child to believe in Santa not just because of gifts she can receive but the value of giving and receiving, of being thankful for blessing and besides its all part of the spirit of Christmas. Even me, deep in my heart I still believe in Santa :)
