I think that the fact that people so easy give up nowadays is that it's so easy to do so. Just quit when you don't feel for anything / someone anymore instead of fighting through and come out of crisis in a stronger shape. It's really a sad development...

No, I don't think any more strict laws or involvement from authoroties will help. I think it's a question of a change in people's minds / ethics and morals. What we can do as adult people is to raise our kids with good and ethical values so this path will change direction to the better with the next generation growing up. I don't say that everybody suits well together, but I do say that it's really necessary to think more than once with such important matters as marriage, and I know what I'm talking about. I've been through a divorce and the mind is really opening up after such an episode.

I don't know if this directly leads to divorce, but studies have shown that money is the #1 thing that couples argue about. So before getting married it's important for partners to honestly discuss money issues--their needs, expectations, spending habits, etc.

Yes, partners should discuss all kinds of things--having kids, visting each others' families, etc. I was surprised once to hear that a friend was getting divorced because he and his wife disagreed on whether to have kids or not--apparently they hadn't discussed it before they got married! That just seems really strange to me, how could you NOT find out how your partner feels about something that important before marrying them?

The major reasons I think are adultry and money problems. You lose trust if a person cheats and money makes the orld go round and if you do not have it there are problems

yeah thats true...monogamy is a must...and couples should realize this...tearing the mrg is wrong just to satisfy your physical needs
