Do you stil have your tonsil??

I removed it when I was 5 years old because it caused a lot of troubles when I got sick.I had a bad sore throat for a long time and it swelled so bad and I couldn't eat a chunk of food because I couldn't swallow.
Now I have no problmes.Do you still have your tonsil? Did you remove it?

Yes a still have my tonsils. Luckily I have not had any problems with them either.

I had mine removed when I was 31. I was told all of the horror stories related to having them removed as an adult. My doctor even told me it would be difficult due to my age. This was the first surgery I ever had, so I was very scared. When I woke up from surgery I had no pain and didn't even realize they had operated. I continued to be pain free all through the recovery. The hardest part was not eating solid food for 8 days.

I had my tonsills removed when I was 21 years old. I was totally bedridden for 2 entire weeks! I have been told it is much easier to recover if you have them removed when you are young. It was a horrible experience but I am glad I had them removed because I no longer have chronic sore throats.
