High school today

I wanted to know if everyone is going to the block system in their school districts or is it just a couple of them doing it. A school that goes by block system have 4 85 minute classes. They can't lecture for the whole time. They have to give the kids time for homework in that class. It they participate in choir or band they have to take whats called a skinny. It would be spilting the 85 minute time for the two of them. I know when I was in school you had english, history, math, gym and a few other class.

the school district i live it tried that system for like 3 years but now they are back to 8 periods a day again. I think it's better that way that way the kids don't get bored.

That's what I think. I would get bored staying in a class for 85 minutes. Out school system had been doing this for 5years now. It's getting harder for the kids to pick out classes because they keep dropping them. My daughter who's a junior has nothing left to take but still doesn't have the credits to graduate. So she keeps taking the same classes. kind of bad deal.
