while you were pregnant? I did. If I was upset, I'd hold my belly and tell my baby it would be ok. Did you talk to your baby in the womb? Please share.

i've never been pregnant ever. but i do believe that there's really an effect when the mother talks to the baby in her womb. i've read somewhere that there are studies showing that babies who were exposed to classical music when they were yet in the womb are more intelligent. i guess this holds true also with a mother's soothing voice.

I think babies recognise any voice they hear consistantly in the womb, and will have a special connection with the person they're heard.

i dont really talk to the baby now. i think im too busy . i have my husband to the talking to it. every night i make him kiss my belly and say hi.. so he says hi. my son likes to press his head to my stomach. when i was preggy with my son i used to talk to him about politics and things about life. it was more like i was trying to communicate but it was more funny than anything.

Yes, I would when showering too. and rubbed my belly. I also played music for him the last three months of pregnancy. This is supposed to be when they start to hear.

Brain growth and development is especially rapid during the last trimester of pregnancy. Here's a link to fetal development by day, week, and month Auntie Natal 911 ~ Preborn Baby http://www.auntienatal911.com/preborn_baby.htm

I did, I think it is a very special time when you are caring your child. I sang to my children when I carried them in my womb. I rubbed my tummy and tried to find their feet. I will never forget these times. You should talk to your baby in the womb any time, happy times too.

With my daughter I sang to her and talked to her all the time. When I was pregnant with my son my daughter did all the talking to my belly lol. It was kinda cute to watch her talk to my belly and put her ear to it and then he'd come along and kick her. Reminds me alot how they act today lol. I am not pregnant with my 3rd - there are plenty of people to talk and sing to the baby in the house. =)

Yes, I talked to both of my children when I was carrying them during pregnancy. Especially when in the bath, I'd sing to them and talk to them and I remember them moving around to my voice. My parents would rub my belly and talk to my son everytime I'd see them. With my oldest son, I lived with my parents during my pregancy for awhile near the end of the pregnancy. After my son was delivered and calmed down in my arms, my father came into the hospital room and started talking to him. His eyes started opening and try to look for him. My dad held him and talked to him and my son was comforted and fell asleep in his arms. It was precious. I do believe it is a special thing to do and helps bonding with your child.

dirty baby face - Graysen dirty baby face
I talked to him, I'd sing to him. I'd grab my belly and shake him so he'd kick me. I even put head phones on my belly so he could listen to all kinds of music. Country, classical, oldies, soft rock any kind of music. Now he loves classical music. I keep CD's in his stereo and every night I turn them on so he can sleep with them on. I also do it with a soft rock radio station.

I did talk to the baby, and I read to the baby. Later in the pregnancy I started noticing that the baby would "dance" in my stomach when certain songs played on the radio or CD player, and so I would play them on purpose to bond with him. Hopefully he really did like them and he wasn't jumping around in there because he didn't like them!!

I used to go to concerts when I was pregnant with my eldest, and he always "danced" alot, and now, 30 years later, he's a singer/songwriter/performer!

oh my god that reminds me .. my husband would play with some toys the squeaked or rattled up to my stomach and the rattle toys would make the baby jump around in my stomach. he would get so excited in my stomach. it hurt me but my husband would do it constantly to see me squirm. lol. that is funny now that i think back toit. lol

I am a guy so I wouldnt really know, but I have seen pregnant relatives talking to their baby in the womb, it is said this promotes the maternal bond with the child and even if that cannot be proven, it seems to give some sort of reassuarnce to expectant mothers.

Yes, talking to one's preborn baby in the womb, does help expectant mothers, and fathers, feel closer to their preborn baby.

Pregnant - Pregnant
the first time...I talked a lot to my baby in the womb. I would talk about everything...how I felt...what I thought. I would also listen to music (especially classical music)...I would also read a lot. the second time round, I was too busy...but I got my older son to talk to the baby. I could feel the baby kick when his older brother spoke to him.
