bird songs

Many people belive that a bird song is notes strung together at random or with minute thought, but this is far from the reality of a birds' dedication. While in the nest, the babies listen carefully to their fathers' song, memorising it to the point that some scientists argue if that is what they dream about. The males listen because they will copy that song and make it their own, whereas the females listen in order to find a mate. A female will choose a mate whose song is not too different, but not too similar to their father's song. Many people are unaffected by listening to a bird's song, but when I hear it, I hear true passion and perfection through hard and patient practice. I will often stop in my tracks to listen to the symphony of a songbird in their peak of perfection.
