How old were you when you had your first child?

i don't have any children yet!i am 19 years old!but i love them and animals!

I was 20 when I had my first little one.I don't know if there is a perfect age.All I can say is older then eighteen.

I was 19 when i had my first child she is 19 now.by the time i was 25 i had 4 daughters to raise and ended up raising them on my own for 12 years.Now i am remarried and my two oldest girls are 19 and 18 they have moved out so only have my 15 and 16 year olds at home now.I also have a stepson who is 5.

Hi there. I had my son at 25 1/2 years old. :) I knew I wanted to be married before I had a baby. :) Now our son is 11 months old and still growing and changing everyday! How old is yours? :)

I was nineteen when I had my first child. One month before I turned twenty. I thought I was ready for a child. But if I had to do it all over again. I would wait. Not because I didn't know how to take care of child. I had plenty of experience between having six younger siblings and babysitting. I feel I never had a chance to have my time to play before settling down. Here I am thirty five. My youngest is six. I still have many years to go before it is my time to play. Heck, by that time I may be to old. I tell my neice wait til she is about 24 to have achild. That way she will have the chance to turn 21...sow her wild oats...or do whatever,come and go as she please before she is tied down with a child. When you have a child things change..Not nessicarily for the worst..But it will have a large impact on a persons life. By this age they should know exactly where their life is headed.

My wife and I are 21 and we've had our first child last year. There's probably not a perfect age, but there is a prime age.

I'm 23, and i don't have any children! I just don't feel ready to take care of a child! And then i don't have a girlfriend.. hehe

i was twenty three when i had my first. i dont think that there is a perfect age. i think when you feel like you are ready it is the right time.

I don't think there is a perfect age for kids, young girls have babies everyday that turn into great mothers and sometimes a 30 yr old with first child is an awful parent. I was 18 when my son was born and it sure straightened me right up so it was the perfect time for me. So i guess the perfect age for everyone is different.

I was 24 when my son was born.... I'm 25 now. I absolutely don't think there's a perfect age to have kids, it depends on the parents. I do see so many "babies" out there having babies! I don't think teens should be getting pregnant left and right, but no, I don't think there's a perfect age. I love being a mom at this age! :)
