Yes I could help you, but You must write what what video card you have in your machine! How can I help you without that? You should look in your POST screen (screen before Win98 loading) or in your BIOS. If you can't see what is, you should open your case and look to the agp port and find your video card. Post its name and I'll help you!

when i'm starting that computer, it won't show anything but emachines... when i hit delete key while loading i can go to bios setup but i can't find where i'm looking for. i already opened the case to look for the cpu model, but there's none. i don't have video card, though, i have built-in. if i re-install windows xp to it, do you think it can restore it's original driver or at least give it 800x600 resolution? thanks you very much i really appreciate your respond! =:)

Yes, if you don't have a videocard in some pci or agp slot, you don't have a stand alone videocard, but you have an integrated one...so you can't find it. Usually when you start up a computer, motherboard writes its name in the screen, are you sure you can't see it? Because if you can find motherboard name, you can download drivers for videocard too. XP has inside its drivers that works good on many system, without know anything about wich driver you must install. I think If you do a clean installation (deleting Win98 and installing only XP..because they are too much different S.O.) you could solve your problem. But Xp is much heavier than Win98 and it runs slow on machines with RAM
