I just splurged and ordered Folkwear's Tribal Belly Dancing pattern and the accessory book of tribal headdresses and make-up. If you want to see the photo it's on here: http://www.folkwear.com/aboutfolkwear.html. Go to the caravan page, and it's the last pattern on the bottom.

Have you made them yet? Did they come out nicely? I make a lot of my dancing gear but so far havent used patterns at all. Will be interested to hear how you fund them in use.

I'm not even home right now, so I haven't done any sewing. And before I even start that project, I have two gypsy skirts that I've already cut out that I need to sew. So many projects, so little time.

I have the following patterns from them: Turkish Dancer Sarouelles I haven't used them yet but would like to. I haven't used patterns before so I'm a little scared too.

It's always a little intimidating to cut things apart, like new patterns or expensive fabric. If at first you don't succeed, try try again. Plus I think there is something about that great art on Folkwear patterns that makes us want to collect them rather than use them.

I've been looking for a good pattern for a bra/top for years. Is this the place to look? I need the support all the time and I want to convert a pattern to daily wear. I'm about 40 DDD (they're mine and they're a gift of menopause!)

This pattern looks great. I want to learn tribal style belly dance soon and this looks like a great pattern to get started. It seems to have everything. Please let me know how the sewing turns out.
