I have a large dog with two coats (top one is a waterproof layer), but fairly shorthaired. I heard that some people can use the vaccume, but he's terrified of that. His hair gets everywhere and everyone is fairly annoyed by it.

We have 5 dogs, yes I said 5. All with various lengths of hair. We comb the dogs with long hair about once a month. There is a special doggie comb we use that doesn't hurt the dogs, in fact our German Shepard loves it. I say pick up a dog comb or dog brush and just brush your dog. To them it's like you're petting them.

I've seen this brush on tv. It was an infomercial. It looked like a good brush. Not only did it get the stray hairs but it gets rid of odor. At least that's what it claims to do.

U can try cutting the hair of the dog every month. This will improve the hair quality of the dog. U can try visiting a Dog grooming salon too. I tried it just for fun! My dog Douglas loved it so much!
