Urgent Help Please for windows/ipod PLease!!

Hi there, im trying to install my ipod software on my computer nad it comes up with the following error: 1607: Unable to install InstallShield scripting Runtime Does that mean i need to install something else on before it??

Sounds like it's just having problems installing. Are you trying to run it from the disk? It might be outdated. Try downloading the software from the website. http://www.apple.com/itunes It should have the iPod software you need, including iTunes. Good luck!

thanks poison girl, i thought it mighnt be old so went a bought new one today and it doing same thing with the new disc. Silly computer!! Im trying to find something that will tell me if there is something missing, thanks anyway!

I think what others said about making sure Winblows is up to date is a good idea. Also, just going out and buying a new iPod doesn't mean the CD is going to be any newer. Software is constantly being updated and quickly goes out of date and gets old. Downloading the latest is always your best bet.

i finally got it fixed, i had to reload a whole heap of missing files back to puter, incl quicktime runtime and oh too many but its all good now, thanks for your help!

iPod software - iPod software
Have you tried to install it on another computer kyliepops, as that would tell you whether or not it is your own computer or the CD you are using. Also check that the version of windows you are using is compatible with the software, because sometimes that can be the problem. I wish I had some really useful advice to help you, but sadly this is the best I can do. :) Good luck kyliepops and hope that you find a solution to your problem soon.

I think you should try restarting your computer. It seems that the component you are missing can be found on apple's website

yes some file may be missing in ur windows config ! try to re-install ur windows software !!!
