I don't care for plain grits, but there are a couple of restaurants in my town that serve "doctored up" grits that are very tasty. One seafood restaurant does cheesy garlic grits that are wonderful!!!
Also, we used to keep instant grits with bacon bits in the house when I was a child, and sometimes I would enjoy eating a pack of those with some butter in them.

I never eat grits from a restuarant, just something I've never done. I guess I don't trust them or something hehe.
I haven't tried bacon in my grits before unless it was many years ago. I'll have to get some, I see them all the time in the store. Thanks for your response!

I actually just had some cheese grits like 20 minutes ago, yum. I've never tried them with brown sugar though, I'll have to do that. Thanks for your response!

Ok, I absolutely hate grits. Looks and tastes too much like sand to me. I am from Massachusetts and never saw and never knew what grits were until I went to Georgia to vist my dad when I was little and we went to eat at Waffle House and my plate came back with grits on it and I remember looking at my dad and was like "um what is that"? LOL! I did try them but I thought they were gross.

LOL, thats funny. Well maybe you should try making them yourself or getting those packets of instant grits(you can fix them in the microwave). I don't eat grits from restuarants myself. So maybe you'll like them better that way, with some cheese or sugar. Oh and you can put your scrambled eggs in them too. Thanks for your response!

I love grits. We have a recipe (I would put it here but I don't wanna look for it) for them where you put Fritos and soy cheese and things. It's absolutely delicious!
