Just give a police complaint and with the copy of the complaint file a civil complaint in lower courts. The Landlords have no business to disturb you. 1. To vacate you he has to give 3 months notice 2. He cannot increase the rent arbitrarily without incorporating the clause in agreement 3. He has to compensate for the hardships created for your like power-cut, water supply cut and changing the locks.

me and my family rented a house and was given 2 months to get out due to the landlord wanted to sell property, we have 2 children and i stayed there until we got council house it took over 5 months and when i saw legal advice there was nothing she could do as we were still paying rent. lucky for us we were with a letting agency and he was on our side and told her she could'nt do anything as we had no where to go.. recently i watching neighbours from hell on tv and there was a man who lived in a property for over 5 years the landlord could not get him out. the tennant has more rights now and the landlord can not change any locks without court, so you can break in and change them thers not anything they can do just take you to court and it takes time. good luck with finding somewhere else.
