Ofcourse not its much older than that and there is sufficient proof of it now with the carbon dating method for fossils found on the planet.

y mention only christians? all religion are flawed... earth is more than a billion yrs old and it a scntific fact... its time ppl stop believeing in religion and grow up!!

It has to do with the dates put down in the Bible in Genesis. The belief is called Creationism, and there are varying levels of it. Some people believe that the dates and time refer to some sort of spiritual calender - what is a day to a god, after all? - and some believe it literally means the world was fully created in 7 days.

Nope, definitely not. There are fossils discovered that ages up to 200,000 years.

i think that is because they have found it in the bible, expressly or implicitely. it is obviousl something false and we have lots and lots of evidence of it. anyway, when you are "too much" religious you tend to switch off your mind and start thinking the way someone else tells you to do.
