Yes, it is racism, because violence, crimes, etc. aren't a "black exclusive", as you seem to put it. Some white are like that, some black are like that... so what? If you think that every black person is a damage to the society, then yes, you are racist, 'cause we are all different, and anyway the way we are doesn't depend on the color of our skin.

Are you serious? For you to associate ALL blacks with "crime, "supidity" (I'm assuming that you mean STUPIDITY-learn how to spell it first), violence, etc....", is extremely racist! Violence, stupidity, and crime are NOT synonomous with ANY race. I am a black woman who is not violent, have never been involved in any crime, and who after completing my bachelor's degree in Math & Finance, will be going on to get my Master's from a school that has been acclaimed worldwide. And I do have and know plenty of other black people just like me. Truthfully you sound as if you could use some more education, because not only do you sound ignorant, and uneducated, you sound quite foolish and immature. Get a clue Sweety!

Racially biased maybe, but not racist. In neighborhoods with a majority of blacks, it is true that crime and violence rates are raised. I've witnessed it myself. However, I am black and I would find it offensive for someone not to want me in their neighborhood because of crime, violence, etc.

okay the guy above me is totally a racist. I saw some of his comment on other discussions. To answer the question it is a form a racism but more of a racial prejudice. Not all black do crime. Many just hear more about black on the news than white is because due to old beliefs and old 1930s thinking that all blacks are liars and only good for working for white. Most of those people that feel that way are old but still pass their prejudicial beliefs onto their families. It's sad but many of their children can make decisions for themselves with all the information that really out there in the world.

I think that we see more black people on the news for committing crime (than white people) is because there is alot more crime in the black community. Pick any prison in the United States, are there more black people behind bars or white? We all know the answer. So saying that crime is found more often than not in a black community is not being racist, it's simply telling the truth.

you may not be racist, but you're stereotyping all black people, which is just as bad.

Wow I didn't realize there were people as ignorant as you still around. You associate black people with crime, stupidity and violence. I hate to break it to you, but we don't have an exclusive on those things. You need to step outside of your bubble!!!

White people are more comfortable living around other whites. Why? You put your finger on it.....in a white community they isn't much crime, violence, you don't have to worry about going out at night and getting robbed, shot, stabbed or any of that crap. It's a shame that black neighborhoods have all that stuff to put up with. But what does that same about the black vs. white community? I think it says that white people can control themselves much better, and they know how to solve problems in a much more civilized manner. So why can't most black people do the same?

That's odd.... I'm white and I chose to live in a primarily black neighborhood. It is very safe and peaceful. I guess that pokes holes in both yours and the original posters theory... I mean racism ; )

You know what? I discriminate, a lot!!! And I'll keep on doing it. I discriminate rude people, non-well mannered people, criminals, rapers, missfits, I don't like they to come to my neighborhood. I don't mind the color they are. I think with this I solve any problem mentioned in here.

Yes, definetly a racist. A hate crime confession. Oh, the term "blacks" can sometimes be a rude remark, I'd rather refer to them as African American. All sorts of crimes aren't solely commited by African Americans. People from all walks of life and different nationalities commit crime. If "white" people say that "black" people commit crime does that make "white" people immune and incapable of commiting crime? In fact "white" people are as equal at fault if not greater.... remember black slavery in the early centuries of US history?
