Perl is a open Source, cross platform programming language. Perl was created by Larry Wall. Perl is listed in the Oxford English Dictionary. The main advantage of this language is that if tou do not know any computer language than you can learn Perl. It is supported by many OS such that UNIX,Macintosh and Windows. It takes the best features from other languages, such as C, awk, sed, sh, and BASIC, among others. Perls database integration interface (DBI) supports third-party databases including Oracle, Sybase, Postgres, MySQL and others. It works with mark-up languages such as HTML,XML. It supports Unicodeand and it is Y2K compliant. It supports both procedural and object-oriented programming. Its interpreter can be embedded into other systems.
