I have felt that when a child becomes an tennager or an adult he tend to act selfish and smart and cheats or is dishonest, i don't understand how do they develop these qualities and from where. what re your thoughts?

young children tend to be more gullible and they tend to trust people more, as they grow up, with experience on how to protect themselves is how they develop these qualities..

I think it is the surrounding and the conditioning received from the society, peers and family is one of the reason. The values change to adapt one self in the struggle for survival...

maybe because a young child doesn't really understand the consequences of being brutally honest, but once he/she grows older, he/she will realize that sometimes being honest can get you into trouble.

merely because of the examples set by the adults!the unpolluted mind of the young is not only polluted by adults but is also being negated by the dos and donts imposed on their creativity.

I think it has something to do with being a child. You know what they say about children, they can't do no wrong until they get older and learn the ways of the world.
