F-14 Tomcat

Last I heard, the F-14 Tomcat were being decommissioned and the F-18's or other "newer" planes took over its chores. I have been dreaming about piloting the Tomcat since I was in 1st grade. I don't think I'll be able to do that now. Besides the fact that I'm not a pilot, there won't be any F-14's around even if I start training to be a pilot today :-) Hohum. I guess I'll have to contend with having one as a desktop wallpaper. Any pilots out there willing to share there experience flying a tomcat or any other fighter plane?
