I know there are some people who really need depression medications, however, I believe that doctors are starting to make depression out of everything. I can't sleep...it must be depression. Don't eat as much as you used to...yep, it's depression. Let's pop you full of pills, so we get money and you feel like we are doing something useful. Sounds good, huh? Seriously people, not everything the doctors tell you is right! What is your opinion on this?

I thikn its the doctor who is not able to make out which is depression and which is not. However, the fact is that most of the people today do suffer from deprression in their life due to the kind of world we are living in. Anyways, i think the best way to get out of it is to do some Yoga.

Isn't that their job too? To diagnose and find out what is going on? They get paid so much money and yet they seem to just hand over whatever without really listening to what is going on! Thanks for the tip about yoga..i've been thinking about trying that out! Best Wishes

I do think we are an over medicated society. Instead of riding it out we grab medicine. I too think that some "diseases" are over diagnosed or overmedicated.

Well, I think it teaches our youth to be lazy too. Hey, life is a little hard so we just go to the doctor and get a quick fix and it will be alright. Now I'm not saying that there aren't those that truly do suffer with depression, and they do need to be on it. I'm talking about those that are a little sad one day so they go to the doctor instead of riding it out. Thanks for the response!
