A glass of warm milk always helps. If after that you still cannot get to sleep, then do not lie in bed but instead get up and do something until you feel so tired that you will sleep as soon as your bed hits the pillow. One thing you should not do is overstimulate the brain though, or you will never get to sleep. :)

Depending on your age: 1rst., Relieve yourself. 2nd., Eat something small, but nutricious. Maybe a bowl of instant oatmeal -- something that will make the acids in your stomack work overtime. Try it, you may like it ........... reprah

I have terrible insomnia at times at what I usally do that helos a little is drink a warm glass of milk, than take a benydril, a somtimes a 10mg valium along with it. Thats the only thing that helps me. But dont go takin pills cause I told it works for me. The best way is to get on a routine and excersise early in the day. Dont take any short naps durring the day and only eat up to a hour before sleeping.

Don't drink tea or coffee before you go to bed, don't eat anything heavy before you go to bed. A few drops of lavender oil on or under your pillow should also help you.
