Drunk baby dropped off at hospital

Colorado Springs, CO - Police in Colorado Springs on Monday night were searching for a man who officers believe dropped off his girlfriend and her drunken baby at a local hospital emergency room.
Doctors at Memorial Hospital say the baby is in good condition
Police are still trying to determine what happened. They say the child's mother gave them conflicting information.
The baby's aunt told reporters the mother did not mean to feed alcohol to her two-month-old baby.
"So she went to make the baby a bottle, cause she kept crying. A pacifier wouldn't work, so she made her a bottle, and when she made the bottle, it was clear liquid. She didn't realize that it was an alcohol," says Jessica Smith, the child's aunt.
Police say they're treating the incident as a child abuse case.
The child is in custody of the Colorado Department of Human Resources.

wow that's a shame
i hope that the baby will be alright, and how could you not know that you wasn't giving your baby milk.
milk is white not clear. im having a hard time believing this lady.

I am a little unclear on this...did she think vodka was water? What is wrong with people these days? Hopefully that baby will be placed somewhere where she will be cared for and loved. There was a earlier post where someone wanted to know how to help her baby sleep at night and someone suggested brandy. Nice, huh?

How on earth could you mistakenly give a child alchol for forumal. Forumal is White the color of milk. What about the smell. People like this needs to have there tubes taken out so that they can never have another child and do this again. Yes babies cry and yes it can get stressfull (I have three children myself) I hope they lock this mother and boy friend away for life. These people could have killed that baby. It makes me so made just hereing about this.

God this is sad man i know someone who would let there 4 year old drink bear as a drink kinda like kool aid i felt so bad for the kids but i couldnt say anything because im still under 18.
