When I was in 5th grade, my class and I were out on the playground playing and I heard tires screeching. I looked up to see a body rolling in the street. Turned out it was a little boy who was in... I can't remember if he was in 1st grade or 3rd grade. Either way, it was a pretty traumatizing experience for me. I guess he was crossing the street as some lady was driving down the street and ran the red light. He didn't make it. Sad.

Well, he was apparently crossing the street to go greet his mom, so I'm sure she did SOMETHING. My teacher had the class go inside right away, so I don't know what happened afterwards.

Because many Legal issues are involved. If the person/s die,in spite of your efforts at being a Good Samaritan(your good intentions, did not help)you will have a tough time, explaining things to the cops. There may be cash, jewellery, credit cards etc,on the persons' bodies, and the loss of these may make you a suspect. That's why!

Yes you are right. Lot of formalities has to perform if the person helps the victim. In Indian condition police man harass the person by inviting him at police stations again and again. He has to face lot queries. Another thing you have mention that if the important material lost then again he has to face the consequences. That’s why no body help the victims. Thank for responding

Well, the conditions complicate the issue, as the good gentleman here mentioned, there's a lot of complexity involved . The police don't make it any easier with their harassment. But more apalling is the disgust that goes with an accident victim. Many people don't want to sully their Vehicles, and when they do come forward, Police make their life hell! The human values certainly are on a slide, we are preoccupied with our own prerogatives to be even bothered by such happenings. My god! Where's the world heading to? Good day to you, bye.

Yes, I agree with you the human values are degraded day per day. We are forgetting our moral duties. There is no sympathy toward the human being. Mental harassment and complex Legal formalities may be the one cause of non helping attitude of people but I thing there may be some other reasons, have you any idea in your mind please discuss. Thanks for participating in discussion.
