Can someone shed some light...I have an individual that watches my daughter in her home. She said that she doesn't want to claim income on her taxes from this therefore I can't claim the child expense on my income taxes. Can someone direct me to "rules" on this?

Do you think there is a reason that she doesn't want to claim...besides having to pay taxes on her income. This is just me, but I wouldn't want to leave my daughter (she's 2) with someone that doesn't want to do what's just and right... Much luck!!!

If you pay her more than $3,000/year she has to claim it for he rincome. You should provide a statement for her and it would be her responsibility to claim it on her taxes. If she doesn't report it and give you her SSN or her tax-id you are unable to resport it on your taxes. Do you mee thte other guidelines for being able to take the tax credit?

You need to claim it and so does she, it's illegal if she doesn't.
