My first horse - That's me on my first horse that I got when I was a kid. That's my cousin behind me.
I love horses too and I did go through a phase when I wanted a white stallion too. Then there was my black stallion phase I went through, mostly because of those Black Stallion books by Walter Farley and the movies too. I did get a horse of my own when I was about 12 or so. I had some very good times with that horse. I am attaching a picture of my first horse with my message.

personally i've been riding horses off an on since i was 8 years old though havent gotten to much in the last 3 years..... (i'm 23 years old) and it IS an expencive hobby... i have also worked on a few horse farms.... believe me taking care of a horse is ALOT more work and MUCH more expencive than taking care of a puppy... horses have to be well taken care of ... if their stalls are not cleaned properly the horse can get thrush .... horses also have VERY sensitive stomachs....horses eat ALOT more than dogs... also horses require alot more experiance to be able to take care of and train and keep healthy...also in genral it usually costs atleast $300 per month on average in the united states to take care of a horse... sometime triple that amount depending on where you live.... and thats if the horse is in perfect health.... horses have to see a farrier monthly AND have vaccinations and get regular de-wormings AND have to be excercised and given the right kind of food depending on what kinds of activities the horse is used for... these days you can NOT just feed a horse off of nothing but grass usually....not if you want it to be healthy that is...
