Do you believe that age and beauty treatments really work?

I'm not vain, but I do colour my hair because my husband likes it that way. What I don't do is spend a bunch of money on skin care products to get rid of my wrinkles and keep my skin's elasticity. A relatively inexpensive skin cleanser and a little moisturizer is all. Are the products we see advertised for skin care, anti-wrinkle treatment, and complexion regeneration really worth what we pay for them? We see in magazines and on television how these products can resurface our skin, transform our wrinkles and remove all our complexion flaws, making us younger and healthier looking. The companies boast chemicals with fancy name and talk about complicated terms like "exfoliation". Trust me, no one has ever worried about this process before the industry recommended we needed it. My guess is that you spend the money because you just HOPE these things will make you look younger. A regular gentle scrubbing with a face cloth with exfoliate your skin. No chemical is going to iron out your wrinkles...they are solely dependent on the amount of fat under your skin, the amount your skin has stretched over the years and how elastic it is. I admit I even tried a tooth whitening treatment once. I was sadly disappointed. Of course I knew the sparkles on those TV teeth are put in with a computer, but nothing is going to change the colour of your teeth that comes from inside depending on heredity and health. Let's not be so ignorant as to make the advertisers rich by falling for their false claims. If anyone reads this and knows of a REAL fountain of youth skin, hair, or tooth treatment...let me know. But I want you to provide me with a free trial long enough for me to know it really does work!!

Facts to know: Unfortunately, the aging process can't be stopped or reversed, but good daily skin care can slow the process. wash the face daily with mild soaps containing moisturizers avoid prolonged exposure to the sun use sun blocks eat plenty of grain, fruits, and vegetables exercise daily, and do facial exercises to retain muscle tone do not smoke

Have you ever used something like that? What experience allows you to make this conclusion?
