I use either a star or an angel. What do you use?

I had a homemade angel the kids and I did, since we are homeschoolers many things qualify as art! However we use a small prelit tree since our housefire and hoping that when we get into the house we find the Christmas stuff survived!

My mum always had a china angel with a wand and when I left home she gave me a fat plastic cherub with a pink mini dress so I always tie her on the top with a fairy light to make her sparkly, they both belonged to my Momma (Grandma). We used to replace the Angels dress every 2 years with new crepe paper and net. Dad doesn't decorate for christmas now without mum because his new girlfriend has cats, so the Angel stays in the roof which is sad.

I've got several tree toppers, and I use a different one each year. I have stars, angels, and some finials (stacked bulbs). When I see a new one that I like, I buy it and add it to the others. I think one of my favorites is a clear glass star that we've had for many years. I'm using it again this year, I think.

I have a pointy silver thing very similar to this picture but a simpler shape and plain silver/chrome finish.
We had a few different ones, stars / fairies etc but they were all a real pain to sit straight on the top of the tree and would be lopsided all the time!

We use a 5 point star made from wood painted gold and silver with lights.
But that is also because we celebrate the Yule. And it is the star that fits best in out religion.

I usually use an angel, though there have been times when I used the star.

I have a home made angel that my daughter and sister made for the tree when i was bringing my son home from the hospital. She cut some of her Barbie dolls hair, took a styrofoam ball, some old material and glues it to a plastic cup. It really means alot because she wanted her baby brother to come home and have an angel on the christmas tree and of course she made it with love. So for the last 12 years that is our special angel tree topper.
