Collecting Business Cards

I collect Business Cards. I started collecting business cards as a child. My parents traveled back and forth across the country, but the only thing I had time to grab was a business card of where we had stopped. So that is where my collection started.

I never considered it either but it is interseting. Do you split them up into sections or do you avoid a certain kind of buisness card? Maybe i'll send you one of mine when they are printed? :]

I have them split up in several catagories. First is by State or Country, then by subject catagory. I collect all kinds of business cards, but then I do have a few favorite subjects that I like to collect. I would love to have your business card when you get them. Do you have a business or is it just a personal business card?

It is one of the cheapest items to collect. The only expense I have is the business card pages which hold 20 cards each and the binders. And of course sometimes postage if I am trading business cards. When my family and friends travel and ask what I want I tell them undamaged business cards. They look at me like I am nuts. And bring me back a t-shirt which I don't wear. They could just save themselves money and time if they would just bring me back what I wanted. LOL!!!

Hi! Wow, what a coincidence! My brother used to collect business cards, too! He had albums and more albums full of them. He also collected TV Guide covers, listing information for all his favorite shows, and books. He tried to buy first editions whenever he could. It's neat to hear of someone else who has the same hobby! Best to you!:-)

LOL!! It is cool to find others who like collecting business cards. There is actually a International Business Card Collectors club. You might want to let your brother know about this club if he does not already know about it.

I used to collect the business cards from the different restaurants I went to, I was always disappointed whe I went to a restaurant and they didn't have a business card. It can be good fun.

Yes, it can be fun. I know what you mean about being disappointed if a place does not have a business card.

That's interesting. I collect matchbooks, and started for the same reason. My parents didn't want to waste money on postcards or souvenires, but most places would have matchbooks back in those days.

I have been collecting them for years as well. I like collecting business cards because they are small and I can keep hundreds or even thousands of them in a medium sized box.

I love my collection for the same reason, and I don't have to dust them. LOL!! Well, I do have to dust the binders they are in, but much easier then any other collection that I can think of at the moment.

Very interesting. That's something I had never thought of. People collect all sorts of things but I hadn't though of that one. I guess I can see why you started collecting as you put it, the traveling back and forth and that being the only thing you had to grab onto. How many do you have now?
