potty time

does anyone have any good ideas about potty training a 2 yr old anything you got out of ideas. he goes but he wont tell me when but he ll go when i put him on the potty and if he s in the tub he ll get out and go but like i said he wont go during the day

Ok this is going to sound bad, but it worked like a charm with all three kids. I would reward them after going potty with a couple of smarties or raisins and they began to tell me all the time, and sometimes even when they didn't need to go. :)
After a few months I phased out the treats, but they were trained.

i tried the reward thing with his favorit candy,cars outside time at the park it dont work on him oh and tried the no diaper thing not working he pee more with underware on then with the diaper i had him going good with it on he had a dry diaper for 4 days he even got a big prize for that but not anymore

When my boys were being potty trained, I left their diapers off. They noticed when they had to go. If they went on the floor I would have them help me clean it up. It was a chore they didn't like doing, but soon enough they were going on the potty without problems.
