Why does the cost of living rise every year, but there is no increase in pay? Its like you have to work two jobsnowadays just to get by. It seems like all the goverment aid is getting cut back, but the bills keep getting higher.

Cost of living is attached to inflstion. As long as basic needs are affected by inflation COL will increase. I wish my pay would keep up with the cost of living, but I doubt it will happen. Even now that people here are being paid more for minimum wage jobs, my pay has not increased. My rent has though - to keep those lower classes out. The middle class always looses.

you are absolutely right!!! lower to middle classes always get the brunt of it all, even though we are usually the largest consumers...

I would certainly like the answer to that. Especially because, there are some families whose income doesn't change but have to deal with the changes in the economy. Supposedly minimum wage will be raised next year to about 7 but then you probably will see a bigger tax. It's frustrating, I know!
