Difference between Seminar & Workshop?

I don't know a precise definition, but a seminar seems to me to be like a lecture, where as a workshop would be more hands on and interactive, with students interacting with each other or with the instructor.

i would like to add that a seminar is like a car showroom where a company expert explains different models wheres a workshop is like a group of mechanics who consult each other to find solution to the problem occuring in a model in use .
