after marriage, is it necessary for a woman to adopt her husband's name?

No, I don't think it is necessary for a woman to take her husbands name. I think its good the woman has the choice as to wether or not she wants to take his name or not.

I know a woman that did not take her husband last name and I ask her what they would do if they have kids they will use one of their last names as a middle and 1 as the last. I really don't see why not take the name when they have kids I think it will be a problem.

I think that you should take his name.. why wouldnt you want to? i mean you married him and plan on staying with him .. I dont think many woman do keep there name..

well, i sort of want to keep my name so it doesn't totally disappear, you know. we don't have many men in our lineage, after all...

I think it depends on the couple.If they are both okay with it yes.The woman can always keep her name and have his.
