In terms of gameplay and game modes, it's by far need for speed carbon, carbon integrating game playing style from all the previous need for speeds plus some new ones.
In terms of Story, NFS most wanted is the best, in my opinion it had a great story line.
But My personal favourite is hot pursuit 2. hot pursuit 2 was what really opened and paved the way for all the need for speed titles that followed it.
Ofcourse all the need for speed games are great i have loved and played them all, and i am looking forward to EA's next edition of the series.

i hadn't played Carbon yet as its requirement is 2 much for my PC. (I had it though in my collection)
So the latest I've played is Most Wanted Black Edition... and I'd have to say its the best from all versions before it.. the next I'll rate NFS UG1.. (UG2?.. Naaaah.. I don't like UG2)..

I love NFSMW Followed by NFS Carbon, I like how they tied both together, with cross in the NFSC but I have to say, I also love NFS underground 2, mainly due to the fact that you can seriously kit out your car, hydraulic suspension, Neon lights. Its a shame that EA did not keep that in all the new NFS games.

The best is porsche unleashed.It starts to suck from underground.There is no damage to the car when you collide and stuff like this.

i like the most is need for speed carbon and then need for speed most wanted
howeve need for speed series are amzing to play
