Do you think that it is moral or legal that the banks give out credit (as in loans or credit cards) to people, particularly young people with no prior credit history and meagre incomes, that obviously cannot afford the repayments?

I don't think it is fair how banks judge you according to a number.

It might be the bank's mistake but that's how they're going to get business and lock those poor young people in paying them. Because they will get their money back one way or another, that's why there are collection agencies out there.
