Have you ever been affected by domestic violence?

I watched my stepfather beat my mother up for fifteen years of my life... up until the dy I moved out. He used to hit me too... Its made me a very agressive, short fused person... But also a very protective mother...

My wife has beated me thrice and now we are on the virge of divorce. The divorce case is in the court at evidence stage. Very soon I shall prove her cruelty towards me and my parents.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have hit my partner once, but i regretted it immediately afterwards even though I do have to say it was well deserved. I hope you find happiness elsewhere...

my father used to hit my mother until they broke up when i was 13.

My father was very abusive, physically, verbally and sexually. I lived with that for many years. Then I moved on to two abusive relationships with men I was dating. I finally got to a point where I couldn't take it any more, got counseling and eventually moved on to marry a wonderful man who's never so much as raised his voice to me when we're having a disagreement.

My step-mother did alot of that to me, but I made sure I don't do the same to my daughter or anybody else. So I'm not affected by it.
