I am doing a project and pretending that I am a marketer and want to organise a health community for Aboriginals in the Northerm territory. How can I approach Aid organisations and the Australian Government to get funding? What are the laws involved.. etc? thanx

I think that this is the responsibility of both the Northern Territory Government as well as the Federal Government so approaches should be made to both of them. You must tell them that you are doing a project. Have you contacted your local member of Parliament and asked for his assistance with your project?

Well this idea I'm devising is all pretend at the moment I'm not thinking of building an actual health facility. It would be wonderful if the Government did go through with this sort of thing but I went to a conference and actually spoke some Torres Strait Islanders and Aboriginals and they told me that they know that they need health facilities but they don't need parenting and have someone do it for them. You have to let them invite you.

For many years now they have been funded by the Federal Government and anyone who accepts money from taxpayers has to be accountable for it and at the same time accept the limits placed on the use of the money. That is the situation whatever race, colour or creed you are and in fact the Federal Government also places restrictions on the use of the money they give in foreign aid.
