Bullets capability in Illustrator 8.0 for PC?

Does anyone out there know IF and HOW to create bullets (those small, filled-in circles used at the beginning of a series of phrases arranged as a list) in Adobe Illus 8.0 for the PC? I can't figure it out, and the manual is USELESS!
