We have not. I am not sure if we are going to manage to get one up this year or not. Maybe it would happen if I wasn't here on mylot instead of cleaning house. Well, I will cut this short cause I do have other things to do that may at least rival the importance of chatting with you all, lol.

We put ours up the last week of November. It was earlier than usual, but I had presents wrapped and nowhere to put them. We usually wait until the first week in December, so it really wasn't too early for us.

Wow, you are really on the ball. We still haven't put our tree up yet. By the looks of things, it is possible a tree just won't be happening here this year. That would be the first time since we have had kids. We have a nice prelit tree that we got last year. It would be a shame not to get it out.

hopefully you will be able to put it up this year. We were looking at those prelit trees, but I think we are going to pick on up after christmas when they are cheaper. It sure would be nice not to have to fuss with the lights, that's my least favortie part.

Ok, I did read that we shouldn't reply if we don't have our tree up yet. However, since our living room is under renovations, we aren't putting up a tree at all. Everything that was in the living room is taking up space in all our other rooms and we don't have any room for a tree.

christmas tree - christmas tree
we put him up this weekend. Since before Christmas existed, people used plants that stay green all year to decorate their homes in the winter. Hanging evergreen boughs over a door was a reminder of springtime during the cold, dark winter. But it wasn't until the 16th century in Germany that Christians started using trees as decorations around Christmas. German settlers in Pennsylvania brought the first Christmas trees to America in the late 1700s, but they weren't common until after 1834. That's when Prince Albert, the German husband of Britain's Queen Victoria, first brought a Christmas tree to Windsor Castle. The royal family was very popular, so many people wanted to have a Christmas tree like the royals -- even Americans! The idea stuck, and people have decorated trees at Christmas ever since.

We did, Sunday last. My son likes doing it & decorating it, so I do it with him, but he has done most of it! Now, if I can get him to take the empty boxes back downstairs, I would be happier!

I up mine up the weekend after Thanksgiving. i love Christmas and like to have it up as long as possible. I also had lots of gifts already and wanted to wrap them and put them under the tree. My son enjoys Christmas as much as I do and wouldn't let me wait this long even if I wanted to.
