Gettin searched in school? / myLot

Well Today in school there was a kid who had to strip down into his boxers beacuse they "Assumed" he had marijuana on him... i dont think the school has the right to strip someone down until there boxers...and he didnt even have marijuana on him... what do u think he should do???

People in authority have the right to strip people down - that means police, and in the case of schools, the authorities. Possession is a serious enough offence and if it is occuring in school, it is all the more serious. So long as the kid was not striped in public .....

I agree about the consent part, the parents consent is most likely necessary... But I am not a legal person

This is gone too far.First of all I advise my kids not to do anything until I am there.They are underage and the parent needs to be there.There is not school rule that should strip a child down without the proper consent.

I think he should sue the school I mean I had meatal dectors in my school and they did pat downs and wand searchs to make sure but they can't make you get almost naked
