explain your dad about the advantages of having a dog especially at night.... if he is so stubborn, leave the topic for sometime and ask him when he is in a relaxed mood

Dogs are great companions, but they also require love, food, regular exercise and a good shelter. Regular veterinary checkups for worms and various other diseases and also registration. Prove to your dad that you can do what it takes to care for a pet, then at least he will know that you understand all that is involved. Ask him why he disagrees with you so you can understand his opinion. Don't be upset with him. Good luck.

hi vengence, it was very nice to read that you want to have pet dog. i suggest you to request your parents about it and can explain them the advantages about having a dog in the house .if they still dont agree then you can demand for it as your next b'day gift

Try telling them the plus sides of keeping a pet dog..promise them that you'll take care of it..(stick to your word)..and if nothing works...have someone gift a pet dog to you...

show him you are responsible. if he sees that you are, maybe he will let you have one if you'll take care of it. They can be a lot of work, but they are definitely worth it.
