Benzoyl peroxide may help you get rid of zits. I would suggest Proactiv. Try it. I've used it for a month when I got pimples after putting on heavy make up. It worked and my skin became radiant. You may also try Retin-A. It dries up pimples fast. You can also opt for oral antibiotics (tablets), such as tetracycline, can be prescribed for inflammatory acne. You may also try home treatments like: Drink 7-8 glasses of water a day. 10 glasses would be optimal, but if your anything like me its sometimes tough to get in the 8 glasses. Remember your skin is the largest organ of your body and is the first to lose moisture and become dehydrated. Also try: Ripe Tomatoes pulp should be applied liberally on your face for treatment of pimples and kept upto 1 hour, then washed thoroughly. The juice of green/raw papaya (including the skin and seed) is extremely beneficial on swelling pimples, acne,or any abnormal growth of the skin. It prevents pus formation, removes whiteheads, boils, freckles, and brown spots due to exposure to sunlight & most other skin diseases.Papaya is also good to achieve a smooth & delicately glowing skin (contains papain, alkalide carpain in leaves, and cericin in its seeds) Ripe papaya, rubbed on on your face will also serve the same purpose to a degree. Take an orange peel, grind it (on the household grinding stone). Mix it with pure water or distilled water or boiled and cooled water, or rain water. Can be applied on the face for acne, especially. Fresh orange peel, rubbed on the face directly will also serve the same purpose to a degree. I've tried all these...

Go see a dermatologist. While we can all sit on here all day and tell you remedies they can tell you what you need to do specifically for your particular skin. The best everyday product I've ever used is Proactive but for just spot treatments I used to like Clearsil's on the spot treatment. Also, preparation H works on spots that inflamed. Just put a dab of it on the inflamed area, leave it on for 20 minutes then rub it off. It will help reduce the swelling. Red eye drops work for reducing the redness if that's a problem. Just a drop will do and usually lasts a few hours at least.
